Upon arrival in Arusha, spend one night at Machweo Wellness Retreat to recover from your long journey. Private driver/guide will be your escort as you drive from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Highlands with a game drive through Lake Manyara. Arrive at the fabulous (and cosy) Gibb’s Farm where you’ll spend two nights. One day to explore the Ngorongoro Crater. Fly into the Serengeti to experience the immense grasslands, spend 3 nights at Namiri Plains Camp. Fly to the magical and secluded area of Mahale Mountains where you can observe chimpanzees and absorb the mystic energy that surrounds Greystoke Mahale – 3 nights but… you’ll want to stay longer!


Day 1

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met and transferred to Machweo Wellness Retreat where you will spend one night.

Day 2

Depart Arusha, and enjoy a game drive through Lake Manyara National Park. This park contains a wide variety of habitats supporting hundreds of different bird species (possible to see flamingoes!) and a large variety of mammals and reptiles. Arrive at Gibb’s Farm where you will spend the next two nights.

Day 3

Today you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater and experience a game drive on the crater floor. Good chance at seeing elephants, lions, hippos, observe cheeky baboon troupes and more!

Day 4 – 6

You’ll begin your adventure into the Serengeti. Fly to the exclusive and remote Namiri Plains Camp where you will spend the next 3 nights on safari. This area is well-known for being a ‘big cat territory’ (although sightings can of course never be guaranteed!).

Day 7 - 9

Fly from the Serengeti to Mahale Mountains where you will stay for 3 nights at one of the most magical place on earth: Greystoke Mahale. Trek chimpanzees, kayaking, forest hikes, dhow trips and fishing. You won’t want to leave this paradise!

Day 10

Time to head back into civilization! Fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be met on arrival and transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge for an overnight stay before heading home.

Transfer from Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your own onward flight arrangements. We hope you enjoyed your time with us!
