Pelo CampOkavango Delta
Pelo Camp is located in the heart of the famous Okavango Delta, and more specifically, in the Jao Concession. It’s what we would consider a “wet camp” whereby all of the activities are done from the water.
- Ideally, you’d combine a stay at Pelo with a “dry camp” where you can experience game drives. We’d usually suggest a minimum of 5 nights in the Delta region (staying in 2 different camps)
- With just 5 tents, Pelo is one of the smaller, more intimate “budget-friendly” camps in the Delta
- Open from April – November each year, Pelo Camp offers guests the opportunity to explore the famed Delta by boat, mokoro or by foot
- Visitors can relax by (or in!) the swimming pool and literally watch the wildlife go by – hippos, elephant and more species can regularly be seen from the pool area
- Great for birders!
