Tanzania has beautiful and diverse lodges and tented camps. We love to use tented camps in our itineraries, but we realize that some people prefer lodges.

Tented camps really give you the feeling of being in the bush and close to nature which is something we try to achieve with all TrueAfrica safaris. Luxury tented camps are not to be confused with traditional camping, these camps are extremely well-appointed and have all the comforts you’d want such as double beds and en-suite bathrooms. Showering in camps is done with a so-called bucket shower - staff prepare hot water in the morning and this is used for showering and washing.

Where possible we love to get you away from the crowd. We pick places with friendly staff and make sure they are in great locations.

We can use any lodge you want in Tanzania. We have some preferred partners we tend to work with time and time again, but we will use the appropriate accommodation for your budget and desired itinerary.
