Cycling is a great way to explore Tanzania. We can organise great bike trips near Lake Manyara National Park at a local village called Mto wa Mbu. A guide will take you on a 3 hour trip at an easy-going pace, answering questions and pointing out the many highlights along the way.

You cycle down the beautiful Rift Valley escarpment through local villages, farmlands, Acacia forests and banana plantations before ending up on the shores of the lake, which is thought by some to be the most beautiful in Africa with its many lesser flamingos, storks and pelicans. If you'd like, you can end the cycle tour with a freshly prepared local lunch in the village.

It’s a lovely way to live and feel Tanzania with the wind in your hair and getting away from jeeps and cars is a welcome break.
